Day 7: Leave, Weave, Discard or Donate

Day 7 of LEAVE, WEAVE, DISCARD or DONATE my at home artist’s residency:

○ Started the day out on the deck warping the large tapestry loom. I ran out of cotton twine, and it started raining. Hopefully, I can finish the warping tomorrow.

○ Clocked in a few more hours cleaning in the basement. Sorted through a large box of sewing patterns. I kept a few vintage treasures that used to be my mother’s. A grocery bag full will soon head to @Wasteshed along with some silk screen tools & supplies.

○ Also took a large box of acrylic felt out to the car to donate to Oak Park Education Foundation’s BASE Camp. And Stormy and Fiona helped me fill 2 large garbage bags of old towels and rugs to take to the place that rescued them, The Oak Park Animal Care League (I kept a enough for their baths!)

○ Creativity Oracle: Flash. The message of the hummingbird “inspiration will come in a flash. Perhaps you might want to flit between different projects” Yes, today I did a lot of flitting!!!

○ Weather: Humidity built up as the day went on. Temps in the high 80s. Light rain off and on.
