What’s Been Going On?
April was a busy month and flew by very fast. I just want to update here to document (mostly for myself) what I've been up to. I've been fortunate to have my artwork included in several recent exhibitions (and more to come soon!) I exhibited in the Oak Park Art League's annual members exhibit with my piece "From Chaos to Connection". This piece is a combination of tapestry weaving and stitching. It was an attempt at connecting two different techniquest that I enjoy working with. It was also a part of an exhibit last year at 10 Fold Gallery in Greencastle, Indiana. This piece is 16 inches x 36 inches stretched on a wooden frame and is currently for sale. (please inquire!)

I had two tapestry weaving included in the Woman Made Gallery's juried exhibit "Under All is the Land". The first weaving is titled "Vertical Landscape" and the second is "A Prayer for Wildfire Victims" (this one is also juried into the American Tapestry Alliance's Biennial later this year!)

And I've continued to be busy playing with "vessels" for the 100 Day Project. I think I've officially given up on doing it as an every day project, but I am enjoying trying to play with a variety of basketry techniques and I have been able to complete several over the last few months.

And lastly I've been continuing on with my At Home Artist's Residency. I will post more about that in the next couple of days. But for now this is a good recap of the creative adventures I've been on lately.
